  • A very special morning tea with the residents of Murray Haven Homes for the Aged at 10am

Riverside Park

  • Riverside Park Barham 11am. Welcome the Lexus Melbourne Cup to the Murray River as it makes its way to the Barham steps where it will board a local river boat.

  • Join the flotilla of river craft to escort the Lexus Melbourne cup to the Koondrook Wharf, or enjoy a stroll along the Red Gum Statue Walk to Apex Park to greet the flotilla

Apex Park

  • Apex Park Koondrook - bring your picnic chair and settle in to enjoy. (A BYO event)

  • Photo opportunities with the cup

  • Guest speakers from VRC

  • Roy Higgins memorabilia

  • Whip cracking with Lucy Adams

  • For the kids the jumping castle and face painting.

  • At 2.30 the Unveiling of the new Red Gum Statue of legendary jockey Roy Higgins.
